About the Deer:
Axis deer are native of India, but now run wild in multiple areas of the United States. They are the most abundant free range exotic deer both in Hawaii and Texas, where they were introduced for hunting in the 19th and 20th centuries. The males have 2 long, 3 pointed antlers used for fighting, and protection. They are most recognizable from their dark red coat with white spots, very much similar to a Whitetail Deer fawn.
Sheds are like fingerprints. They all have the same general shape, but the details are very different. Although the picture shows a general idea, the color and shape will vary.
